Vonage problems...
We transfered our phone completely over to Vonage. And it works great - mostly.

We'd been trying vonage out for the last couple of months and no problems at all during those couple of months. We transfered our phone number over and disconnected from Ma Bell and it continued to work for a the last four days or so.

Today was a different story. We just can't receive any phone calls at all on the transfered number. We have a virtual phone number that continues to work great. And we can even make outgoing calls. If you try to call our number right now you'll get a 'please check the number and try again' message followed by a weird error number (WRCSMA050DS0).

I checked with the vonage website - nothing down according to the web site. Check my account online - everything looks good. Call technical support and wait over 45 minutes to get a story that LOTS of vonage customers can't receive any calls right now and that they are furiously working on this problem right now (please go away mister customer). The theory from vonage technical support is that this problem will be fixed any minute now.

We'll see how it turns out. More when I know more. :-)
