Notes the information in () represents what the cat is carrying. All factions are the expectations only and any litter even seal carrying blue to a blue can produce all seals and not the mixture expected. (c blue) is used to represent carrying of the dilute.

        Lynx Matings

Here I will not go into as much detail as you will probably be getting the idea by now. Also I do not know the percentages for Lynx. I would say they are much the same as for the above. Note Lynx cannot be carried - it shows on the coat if it is present. Although many red cats will show tabby barring and not be a genetic lynx, and therefore will never produce a lynx point kitten.

        Red Matings

The red gene is another "what you see is what you get" gene and it is sexed linked. This is what gives us only female tortieshell cats. Basically it is only carried on the X chromosone. Now for a girl you have XX and for a boy XY. So if you have a think about it the boy must get his X from his mum. So a boy kitten can only get the color red from his mum. Now a girl gets an X from dad and an X from mum so she can get red from both sides, and if she does she is a red. Now if the red on one X mixes with the color on the other X (could be blue or seal or ...), we get a tortie.
