Aman Birmans

Welcome to my Birman cattery page.

My name is Della Amani. I currently own four beautiful Birmans.

A pet blue point called Madam, who is the reason I fell in love with Birmans. She was a birthday present from my husband. I am the first to admit I was less than thrilled about receiving a long haired expensive cat. I was a dog lover, but we couldn't have a dog in our little flat. Well this wash and wear long haired, sweet blue eyed little creature stole my heart. My husband now says he wishes he had never brought her home. He says I look like a Birman and huff like a Birman. I am certainly Birman mad. Who could not love such an affectionate beautiful creature.

My Stud, Magic is a seal point who carries chocolate (Grand Champion SunStar Magic Touch). He is a big softee and when a girl (who is calling) hisses at him he sits back looks at me and cries. In the meantime he bides his time and licks her ears.

My Queen, Natasha is a blue lynx (or tabby) point who carries lilac (Champion Rashyda Glorious Star). Natasha is very spoilt and sleeps on our bed at night. She meets me at the front door when I come home from work and when I sit down to read the mail likes to give me a good wash. She is also a wonderful mother.

Magic and Natasha's first litter of Kittens arrived on Dec 21st, 1996, 2 boys and 2 girls. The Litter was a lovely mixed group,we had a seal girl, a lilac lynx boy, a blue boy and a chocolate girl.

What's Planned at Aman Birmans?

We have a litter born Oct 5th, from Natasha and Magic. Two girls and a boy, but we are not sure of colors yet. Natasha of course hopes to produce another choc tabby like Aman Tora Tora, who now lives in Finland with Katja Liuko, and is already an International Grand Champion. All of our kittens are raised in our home and loved and spoilt from their first day. I breed Birmans because I love their purrsonality. So we breed for purrsonality and type. We are happy to ship to approved homes.

There have been many questions about the outcome of breedings of different colors, so here is a chart which shows the statistical probabilities of different breedings.
